Bio
I study how curious agents can map what a large generative model can do, and where it fails. In November 2026 I start a PhD in the Flowers team at Inria Bordeaux, advised by Pierre-Yves Oudeyer. The topic: autotelic exploration for the automatic evaluation of large generative models. Instead of a fixed benchmark, agents set their own goals, then discover and map the model's capabilities and vulnerabilities.

AI safety, starting with the safety of recursive self-improvement, and a fine-grained understanding of LLMs. The aim: AI that is as beneficial to humans as possible, with its flaws and risks kept in check, and open source wherever possible.

Pinductor: learning POMDP world models from observations with language-model priors
An LLM proposes programs as hypotheses about the dynamics of a partially observable environment. A particle filter selects among them from observations alone, without ever seeing the hidden state.
-
Autotelic quality-diversity for discovering LLM sycophancy
A repertoire instead of a score. An ACES-inspired loop invents its own attacks, scores them with a logprob and no judge, and maps 164 tactics that make a local model give in, including channels no human can use.
